The State of Florida offers Florida children, birth to 18, several health insurance options through the KidCare program. Eligibility is based on age and family size and income. One or both parents may be working.

Florida MediKids is open to uninsured children 1 to 4 years old, and Healthy Kids offers coverage for children age 5 to 18. KidCare enrollment is year-round and can be completed online. Medicaid also is available for children birth to 18 who qualify, even if they may have other health insurance. The Children’s Medical Services Network serves children with special needs up to age 18.
