Whether you’re in the middle of Open Enrollment, facing a major life change, or managing a new health condition, your healthcare needs are as unique as you and your family. With so many factors to consider, it’s easy to feel unsure about what you’re eligible for.

That’s why our team at The Family Healthcare Foundation is committed to finding you and your family the perfect healthcare plan!

At the Family Healthcare Foundation, our vision is that every person in Tampa Bay has access to affordable, quality healthcare to ensure a healthy, vibrant community. We work to ensure individuals and families in Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, and Polk Counties can access affordable, high-quality healthcare plans.

We are committed to free, objective, and confidential assistance to any person, regardless of need. If we do not know the answer to a question, we will provide a warm connection to an agency that will.

Our team is made up of Healthcare Navigators who are committed to enrolling Tampa Bay residents into healthcare coverage programs, improving healthcare literacy, and mobilizing community partners to support collective knowledge.

Our Navigators provide free, unbiased assistance to ensure individuals and families can get the perfect healthcare coverage for their needs. These services are provided to increase access to high-quality plans and programs and reduce health disparities in Tampa Bay.

Aside from offering virtual and in-person appointments, our Navigators also offer assistance in a variety of languages like English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Arabic, and a little bit of Russian! If we don’t have a Navigator who speaks the language you need, we have a great translation line.

The Family Healthcare Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) designated organization, established in 1998 to convene local efforts to respond to a match requirement that supported the enrollment of children into the State of Florida’s Children’s Health Insurance Program, Florida KidCare.

We have a long history of addressing process improvements, leading a coalition of volunteers, and providing outreach and application assistance in publicly funded health care programs such as Florida KidCare, the Health Insurance Marketplace, and local county healthcare programs.

We’re proud to have served thousands of individuals and families throughout the years. In 2023 alone, the Family Healthcare Foundation helped thousands of Tampa Bay residents through the Medicaid redetermination process—a huge milestone in keeping our community covered and cared for.
