Our Programs

Our programs help connect Tampa Bay individuals, children, and families to healthcare coverage, ensure that they are able to utilize that healthcare coverage, and connect them to other resources that help them live healthy and vibrant lives.

Connecting Kids

Since 2009, the Family Healthcare Foundation has been funded by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service’s (CMS) initiative “Connecting Kids to Coverage”, via the University of South Florida’s College of Public Health. Navigators provide free one-on-one enrollment assistance for Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program for Tampa Bay children and their parents.

Since 2018, the Family Healthcare Foundation has been generously funded by the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County to provide services and outcome measures that positively impact child and adult participants in accessing healthcare services. Through this support, the Family Healthcare Foundation Navigators are on-site at all seven of the Children’s Board Family Resource Centers supporting parents in connecting their children to their pediatric well-child visits, as indicated by the American Academy of Pediatrics, and to connect to healthcare services.

The Family Healthcare Foundation is also proud to be a Florida KidCare partner, along with St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, and is funded by the Florida Healthy Kids Corporation to provide education, outreach, and application assistance for the Children’s Health Insurance Program, Florida KidCare. We are KidCare!
